If it's just sitting there and not being messed with, everything stays in place fine.The wall charger: awesome. to listen in on one iPod together. Convenient. So far it hasn't come away from the dock port enough to interfere with the charging but it's not 100% stable in the dock. Here's the list:- a dock for charging/storing your iPod- a wall charger so you don't have to turn your computer on, pull iTunes up, and turn off your 'puter's sleep mode simply to charge your iPod- a car charger- an earbud splitter (to plug in two sets of earbuds/headphones so more than one person can listen)- a double-ended USB cable (a USB port at each end)- an extra USB cable with the flat dock-connector port (the kind that comes with any non-shuffle iPod)- an RCA cable for hooking up to a stereoLet's start with the dock.
It seems pretty solid, but it does allow my iPod (I have a 6G 80GB Classic) to wiggle a bit in it. I love it. I bought it for the wall charger and car charger but am loving every single thing it came with. Connect the wall charger box and the charging dock using the double-ended USB cable, then connect the iPod to the dock using the USB/flat dock port cable - and voila.
I keep mine in the glove box with my DS and cell phone chargers. This thing is awesome and I honestly never even thought that such a thing existed. The USB cable is also able to wiggle a bit in the port as well and is easy to pull out, but all in all, it works for me. (It's easier than it sounds). The additional cables are a lifesaver.
The one big attraction for this item is that it has SO many helpful gadgets, even ones you may not even have known you wanted. Earbud splitter: Super sweet. How many times have you shared headphones (or someone else's earbud - yechh). Well, I have. Works just like any car charger. They are required for using all the items that come in this box and it's not a bad idea to have them as spares anyway, even if you don't use these extras often.Overall, I am impressed with what was included and the quality is average if not better. It has a rubber bottom so it doesn't slide around and is somewhat weighted so there is no risk of tipping over when your iPod is sitting in it.
It has everything I never knew I always wanted. I love not having to fire up my laptop just to charge my 'Pod.Car charger: sweet. Requires the USB/flat dock cable.
